Swap lenses
with a click.

Tiny rare-earth magnets go into the frame. A clip cut to that exact frame snaps onto them — sun, night driving, readers, blue light, migraine or FL-41 — and pulls straight off again. One frame, several lenses.

This page is a reference for your dispensary: every Chemistrie® clip type and every lens color you can order through Premier Vision. Pricing is in our price list.

The options

Six clip types

Every clip is cut to one specific frame and can carry the patient's prescription. A frame can hold several different clips.

Chemistrie Sun clip in gradient amber, shown without a frame.

Sun

Polarized sunglass clip with 100% UV protection. Polarization cuts the reflected glare off water, wet roads, snow and car hoods — a tint alone doesn't do that.

  • 24 polarized colors — 8 gradient, 8 mirror, 8 solid
  • 3 non-polarized colors: NP Grey, NP Brown, NP G-15
  • See all colors below
Chemistrie Night Drive clip with a light violet lens tint.

Night Drive

Built on Quantum's glare-control hardcoat. Filters light in the 565–595nm band to knock down oncoming headlight glare and sharpen contrast so signs and lane markings read clearer at night.

  • 565–595nm filter
  • Glare-control hardcoat
  • Enhanced night contrast
Chemistrie Reader clip with a clear magnifying lens.

Reader

Adds magnification on demand to distance or plano glasses. A good answer for the patient who isn't ready for progressives, or who only needs help for close detail work.

  • Add powers +0.50 to +2.50
  • Ultra-thin Hi-Vex material
  • Clip on, clip off
Chemistrie Blue Light clip with a violet-tinted lens.

Blue Light

Filters blue light from screens while keeping vision clear and comfortable. On for the workday, off for everything else — no second pair to keep track of.

  • Plano or add powers up to +2.00
  • Hi-Vex, no added bulk
  • Screen and paperwork distance

Avulux® Migraine

Avulux® Migraine & Light Sensitivity lenses — the only migraine lens clinically proven effective in a gold-standard trial. Filters up to 97% of blue, amber and red light while letting soothing green through.

  • Filters up to 97% of harmful light
  • Clinically proven in trial
  • Also available as a full Rx lens

Chemistrie FL-41 clip with a rose-tinted lens.

FL-41 Light Sensitivity

Rose-tinted FL-41 for light sensitivity and photophobia — fluorescent office lighting, screens, post-concussion sensitivity. Pick the density that matches the patient's day.

  • Light — 20% density
  • Medium — 50% density

Sun lens colors

All 27 colors

24 polarized colors across gradient, mirror and solid finishes, plus 3 non-polarized. Swatches are approximate — final lens color varies slightly by material.

Solid

The everyday choice. True to color, even density top to bottom. Grey, Brown and G15 are the safe answers.

Gradient

Darker at the top, lighter at the bottom. Good for driving, when the patient still wants to read the dashboard.

Mirror

A reflective front surface. Cuts more light, hides the eyes, and reads as a style choice more than a solid does.

Polarized vs. non-polarized: polarized wins outdoors, but some LCD screens — car dashboards, gas pumps, phones — can look dark or striped through it. That's what NP Grey, NP Brown and NP G-15 are for.

Hardware & accents

Bridge, magnets and crystals

Three more choices on every clip order. Gunmetal grey is the default on both the bridge and the magnets — it's the most popular finish and disappears on nearly any frame.

Pick your bridge

Crafted from lightweight beta-titanium for durability and comfort.

Pick your magnets

High-strength rare-earth neodymium for a secure, flush attachment.

This color also applies to the magnets installed in the patient's eyeglasses, so pick the finish that suits the frame.

Add crystal accents

Removable magnetic Austrian specialty crystals for a touch of personalization — optional, and they come off as easily as they go on.

The process

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Magnets installed in the frame

We mount tiny, virtually invisible rare-earth magnets on the patient's existing frame — or supply a clip-ready frame already prepped.

  2. Step 2

    Clip built to that frame

The clip is cut to the exact shape of the frame and built with the patient's prescription, tint or filter selection.

  3. Step 3

    Snap on. Snap off.

The clip aligns and locks with a click. No screws, no bulky over-the-top clip, no change to how the frame looks.

Good to know

What to tell the patient

One clip fits one frame. The magnets line up with that frame's lens shape, so a clip made for one pair won't attach to another.

Several clips can share the same frame — a Sun clip and a Reader clip on one pair is common.

Works on virtually any frame in the dispensary, including the frame the patient already wears and loves.

Fine for running, biking, fishing, gardening. Skip contact and field sports — an impact can pop the clip off.

Existing frame or new clip-ready eyewear: either path works, and we prep the frame either way.

Premier Vision handles ordering, prescription and finishing through our standard workflow.
